I know this is my teaching blog but I can’t help it, I’m a personable person. I enjoy it when others take a moment to share pieces of their lives outside of the classroom too since, despite what our students believe, we aren’t just teachers all the time 🙂
A year ago today I married this guy right here.
It’s hard for me to put into words how much love I have for him.
He’s the best person I know.
{Our Story}
Six years ago we met on a beach in Australia while studying abroad.
We spent the next 3 months falling in love.
He came back home to Colorado. I went back home to New York. We decided to give it a shot.
For two years we dated long distance, flying back and forth to see each other every 2-3 months.
I graduated college and decided to move out to Colorado.
We got an apartment. Then a dog. Then a house.
We picked a wedding date then we officially got engaged.
We got married. We got another dog.
The beginning.
I incorporated one of my favorite quotes about our time together in Australia into our cake design.
“I’ll never be the same having seen the moon from the other side of the world….”
