Meet The Teacher {LINKY}

Share This:

If you’re anything like me you probably spend a great deal of time reading up on your favorite blogs and following bloggers across all the social media platforms. It’s always fun to find new teacher friends to follow, especially at the start of the school year when everyone is sharing all these big A-HA ideas left and right! But what I really love is getting to know more about the people behind the blog. That’s right, I’d love to learn more about YOU!! So I thought we could all put the back to school madness on hold for just a minute and have a FUN little “Meet The Teacher Blogger” linky!!!

Hey yall! My name is Stephanie. I’m a 28 year old wife, teacher, and blogger gal.
This is my 6th year teaching 1st graders.The past two years I taught in a 1st/2nd grade combo class. I’m pretty stinkin’ excited to be landing back in a room full of firsties!!

I married this wonderful man a little over three years. He’s my favorite! 🙂

We actually met studying abroad on the Gold Coast of Australia! We’re beach people, but we’ve set up shop in CO. It’s just us and our two fur pups for now.

 {Fur pups hanging out in my classroom when I moved rooms this summer.}

A few things that I’ve been joyfully tackling all summer long.

Diving into as many good books as I could get my hands on.
Working out like woah. I set and reached some major fitness goals this summer!!
Decorating our new home. I’m the kind of girl that will buy 13 paint samples to get started.

 THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS…

Those tall reusable plastic cups with the plastic straws. {see the one in the paint picture above?} Working out. Starbucks. Target. Photography. The Beach. Snowdays. Bright colors. Blogging & blog stalking. Jeans. Traveling. Netflixing. Fried cheese. Every show Shonda Rhimes has ever created. Flair pens.

 IF YOU WEREN’T A TEACHER, WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO BE?

When I was little I really wanted to be a vet until I realized that there was blood and operating involved, not just playing with animals all day. Then I really wanted to be a dolphin trainer. So a dolphin trainer or a photographer. Something with a creative outlet.
THREE LITTLE WORDS THAT DESCRIBE YOU.
Social.  Driven. Loyal.

FINISH THE SENTENCE, “________,  SAID NO TEACHER EVER!!”
“I’d really love to fill out more paperwork…said no teacher EVER!!”

Q: IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY AND YOU CAN INVITE ANYONE {DEAD OR ALIVE} TO THE PARTY. WHO ARE YOU INVITING?
Someone who can sing AND dance. Justin Timberlake, I’m looking at you!

Also, Jennifer Lawrence and Julia Roberts.

Q: IF SOMEONE WROTE A BOOK ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD BE THE TITLE?
 Sunshine and Shenanigans

 Q:YOU GET TO PICK ONE SUPERPOWER. WHAT IS IT?

 I have to go with teleportation because I hate being late, but I’m a.l.w.a.y.s. rushing!!

Q: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE OR SAYING?
“I want to be remembered as someone who participated in the world.”

Q: IF YOU HAD TO SING ONE SONG ON AMERICAN IDOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
 “Bye Bye Bye” – Nsync
I can’t remember what I did yesterday but certain pop music lyrics will stay with me forever. Also, many of the dance moves. HA!  #confessionsofateenageteenybopper

 Q: ARE YOU A MORNING PERSON OR A NIGHT OWL?
I’m SUCH a night owl. I can stay highly productive until the early hours of the morning. But everything before 9AM is a struggle. Morning and I are not really good friends.

Q: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE RESOURCE THAT YOU’VE CREATED IN YOUR TPT SHOP?
 I really love my Flash Fluency packs I created last year because they’re in use in my classroom all year long. Also because I love anything I can throw onto a ring.

Q: SHARE SOMETHING WE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU!

{Nicole & Kathleen…added these snaps are for you. Ha! #hotmess}
My hair is not naturally straight. It’s naturally a crazy hot mess!! Most people are surprised to find that out since my good friend Paul Mitchell helps me keep it pretty darn straight. It also helps that I live in a very dry state. But yeah, the straightener is worth its weight in gold.

Your turn!! Here’s what you need to join the party!!!

 Tell us all a little bit about you. Follow that up by copy and pasting the Q&A Session and adding your own answers. Make sure to include the square “MEET THE TEACHER BLOGGER” button (above) at the end of your post and link it back here so others can find the linky! When your post is published, link it up and join the party below!!!

{Please don’t link to your store or anywhere other than directly to your Meet The Teacher post.
 I don’t want to delete links but I will if they go to stores or other content.}
